About this event
Today, Peterborough looks very different from its industrial heyday when 20 different manufacturers made textiles, pianos, thermometers, baskets and more. But traces of the mills past linger in the landscape. On this historical tour, we will explore the downtown and discover the places and stories of Peterborough’s industrial past. The tour is approximately 90 minutes and will be held rain or shine. A handout of historic photographs allows guests to compare with the locations today. Tickets $12 ($10 for Monadnock Center members) Purchase Tickets Here All ticket sales are final. Thank you to our 2026 Walking Tour sponsor Accessibility Walking tours follow the sidewalks and curb cuts in town and are accessible to those using wheelchairs or walking aids. The presenter uses a portable microphone to insure guests can hear the tour.
