About this event
Join naturalist and storyteller Susie Spikol for an afternoon among the evergreens! Learn to tell pines from hemlocks and firs, explore their different cones, discover how they stay green all winter, and find out which wild animals depend on these trees during the coldest months of the year. You’ll also brew a cup of spicy evergreen tea and bring home a little balsam bag to brighten the season. For children ages 5 and up. 3 to 4 p.m. at Distant Hill Gardens & Nature Trail in Alstead. Space is limited, and registration is required. For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Susie. Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and Distant Hill Gardens & Nature Trail.
