About this event
Join us for a compelling journey through more than a century of chamber music, with a program featuring Johannes Brahms, Frank Bridge and Cristina Spinei, tracing the evolution of the genre from the late Romantic era to the present day. Together, these composers illustrate how chamber music has evolved while preserving its essential character: close musical conversation between performers. These works highlight both continuity and change - from Brahms's Romantic richness, through Bridge's stylistic transition, to Spinei's fresh contemporary perspectives. Performers are Elisabeth Small, violin; Karen McConomy, viola; Dorothy Braker, cello; and Mary Towse-Beck, piano. Doors open at 3:30pm.
